Do you have a child or teen who lives for music, rock or performing? You may want to consider allowing your child to take classes or lessons at the Philadelphia School of Rock. The Philly School of Rock has been serving the Delaware Valley since 1998.
The school has a variety of programs so that young people with previous music experience under their belts as well as newbies can benefit. Youths can book private lessons for singing, playing the bass guitar, playing the drums and more. The school also allows students to connect with others in their own age groups to form bands and put on shows.
Even a child who has never picked up an instrument before can benefit from spending time at the School of Rock. The school has a Rock 101 program which teaches kids about the basics of music. Once a child has obtained knowledge about music, the student can pick which instrument he or she would like to start playing and can receive private lessons and play with others.
Advanced students can take advantage of some of the additional services the school offers. Students can learn the ins and outs of recording, booking gigs and writing songs from a professional instructor.
Parents and young people interested in possibly attending the school should call and make an appointment to tour. The school has evolved over the past 10 years and now has more than 60 locations. The Philadelphia school is located on North 7th Street. Other local campuses can be found in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
